23 major firms are to present their 2015 collections at Pasarela Gaudi Novias, to be attended by buyers and professionals from five continents wanting to discover the latest creations from top industry designers. In turn, Noviaespaña International Trade Show is confirming the participation of more than 200 brands, half of them international, with the latest trends in fashion for grooms, occasion wear and accessories. Next May the two events that make up Barcelona Bridal Week, organized by Fira de Barcelona, will turn the city into the global epicentre of bridal fashion.
Pasarela Gaudí Novias will be held at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue once again from 6th to 9th May, with the participation of almost all the major brands. The show will open with Barcelona firm Rosa Clará. Raimon Bundó will follow, along with Jesús Peiró, Victorio & Lucchino, Yolan Cris, Inmaculada García and M&M, who will present their collections on day two of the show. Cymbeline, Isabel Zapardiez, Jordi Dalmau and Hannibal Laguna will follow, the next day, along with other brands such as Ana Torres, Fran Sarabia, Francis Montesino, Manualvarez, Matilde Cano, Patricia Avedaño and Sonia Peña. They will show not only unique creations for brides, but also party and occasion wear for wedding guests. On Friday, the last day, the catwalk will belong to Pronovias, Miquel Suay and Andalusian designer Juana Martin, who debuts in the bridal industry in Barcelona with her first wedding gown collection. Carla Ruiz with party dresses and Fuetecapala with designs for the groom will add the finishing touch.
Thanks to the presence of the most important brands in the industry, a myriad of combinations of colours, fabrics and accessories are set to flood Pasarela Gaudí Novias, which will once more show that bridal wear “Made in Spain” has reached the highest levels of success on every continent. Over 341.76 million euros in annual turnover (latest data available from the ICEX) attest to this. Thanks to powerful exports and the domestic market, fashion for the bride, groom and occasion wear is one of the most active sectors of the Spanish economy and a great promoter of the image of Spain and the Barcelona brand in all latitudes. The triumph of good taste and fine craftsmanship that wins over one in 10 brides worldwide.
