Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week’s runway is ready: it’ll soon be the focus of the world of bridal fashion. Quality, innovation and design are the defining attributes of the 27 world-class national and international firms whose designs will be displayed on the runway of Europe’s most important bridal fashion week, which will be one day longer this edition. This year new brands and world-famous designers will be participating in the event for the first time, such as Reem Acra, who will unveil her collections for 2019.

Pavilion 1 of Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc Exhibition Centre, located at Plaza de España, will be the main stage where 27 leading national and international brands will present more than 600 creations, belonging to the collections that will mark 2019’s trends in clothing and accessories for brides, grooms, ceremonies and first communions. This year BBFW will feature an extra day on the runway: parades will start on 23 April and continue until Friday 27, coinciding with the inauguration of the trade fair that will be held until 29 April.

On 23 April, Pronovias’ designs will feature on the runway of the Italian Pavilion of the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre; the evening of Tuesday 24, Rosa Clarà will take the centre stage at the iconic Art Nouveau Site in Sant Pau, preceded on BBFW’s main runway by Jesús Peiró, Cristina Tamborero and Jordi Dalmau. Wednesday 25’s main event will be the New Talent Show, where BBFW will be unveiling new proposals focused on new talents and the future of bridal fashion. It will feature young designers such as Alejandro Resta, Mar Rodriguez, Laura Riera and Italian designer Simone Marulli. Also on Wednesday, the runway will star designs by Sophie et Voilà Collection; Italian designer Carlo Pignatelli, Isabel Sanchís and Inmaculada García. That evening, during the Barcelona Bridal night, Reem Acra, the renowned Lebanese designer, will present 30 outfits from their Spring 2019 collection.

On Thursday 26 the spotlight will “belong” to Belgian brand Marylise & Rembo Styling, French firm Cymbeline and the Spanish brands Isabel Zapardiez, Ana Torres, Marco & María, Matilde Cano, Esther Noriega and YolanCris. Friday 27, the last day of the show, the runway will star American brands Demetrios and Maggie Sottero, as well as Ramón Sanjurjo’s collection for men and Spanish brands Carla Ruiz and Sonia Peña.

The director of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Estermaria Laruccia, explained that “Creativity, quality and innovation will be the protagonists of an international event that will bring together the major brands of a sector that plays an essential role in the world of fashion”.
