FASHION SHOWS: 17-20 APRIL 2024 / TRADE SHOW: 19-21 APRIL 2024 - BARCELONA
Eurobijoux & Mibi will host a show dedicated to high-end jewellery ¿made in Europe’?

Barcelona Bridal Week 2014 turns Barcelona into the capital of bridal fashion

Between 6 and 11 May, in the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue, Barcelona Bridal Week will present the 2015 collections from the biggest names in Spanish and international bridal fashion. Pasarela Gaudí Novias will open the event by welcoming some 20 brands to the catwalk from 6 to 9 May, when it will take over for the Noviaespaña International Trade Show, which will close its doors on May 11th. Nearly 230 brands, 50% of them international, and 16,000 trade visitors from over 60 countries are expected.

Once again, Barcelona will become the capital of bridal fashion thanks to the 24th edition of Barcelona Bridal Week, the event dedicated to bridal fashion that includes Pasarela Gaudí Novias and the Noviaespaña International Trade Show, both international benchmarks for this Spanish textile sector that triumphs worldwide.

At Noviaespaña more than 200 of the industry’s leading companies, in terms of design, quality and export potential, will present their latest trends for brides, grooms, ceremonies, receptions, communions and accessories to 16,000 expected buyers. Pasarela Gaudí Novias will become yet again a world showcase of bridal fashion, as it is the only fashion show chosen by more than 20 prestigious international labels as the venue for the official presentation of their collections for next season to the press, buyers and guests from five continents.

Apart from the traditional offering, this year, as part of Noviaespaña, Eurobijoux & Mibi will be joining the mix, which will bring together proposals from over 50 brands specialising in high-end jewellery and accessories ¿made in Europe’, completing the sophisticated looks seen at the trade show.

Another new feature of this edition will be a change in location: the show will be moved to Hall 2 of the Gran Via venue, occupying about 30,000 square meters. This move is in response to the need to integrate the area dedicated to the fashion shows and the one reserved for commercial exhibitors into the same space, to give the event a more homogeneous framework and thus facilitate the flow of visitors.

This coming edition of Barcelona Bridal Week, the first in its history directly organized by Fira de Barcelona, will, in the words of its event manager, Miguel Serrano, ¿boost its internationality to promote the overall success of the sector, one of the most potent in the Spanish economy’. ¿After 23 years’, he adds, ¿Pasarela Gaudí Novias is the only one in the world true to the concept of professional communication with high-end labels specializing in this segment. For its part, since its beginnings, Noviaespaña has registered constant growth, which is a reflection of the industry’s international consolidation. With this as a foundation, we pick up the baton and will continue working along the same lines to give increased visibility to a sector with high export potential and that contributes to the impact of Spanish fashion and the Barcelona brand worldwide.’
