Could you explain the collection presented and what has inspired you?
The inspiration for a collection emanates from many factors, such as the evolution of fashion, diversity, and creativity of materials. As well as the specific requests of each bride that often make the collection evolve.
Has the current situation influenced your creativity?
No, simply because, for the most part, the collection was conceived and created in the last quarter of last year – between September and December 2019. But what is certain is that this health crisis has inspired the theme of this year. The desire for lightness and optimism for the 2021 collection gave rise to its title: La vie est belle.
What do you think of the transformation of the Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week into a digital experience?
We think that the reaction of Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week has been very courageous, facing everything, and valiantly adapting to a crisis. That is why CYMBELINE has joined this experience. After the edition it could be beneficial if we could evaluate the pros and cons to better apply the conclusions. Because what is said, and thought is part of the future …
Do you think this digital platform will be beneficial for bridal fashion?
Absolutely. The crisis has done a lot of damage to all sectors and bridal fashion is suffering too. Today all of us must come to terms with a virus that dictates its own rules. But we believe that this beautiful initiative will be, despite everything, especially useful.
What is your opinion of the fact that, as well as the professionals, brides can also attend the show thanks to this new digital experience?
I think it is a good idea. Why not? A bride needs contacts, to build relationships of trust, advice, and yet today she is also suffering from the uncertainties caused by this virus.
How do you envision the future of the bridal fashion industry?
As for most professions today – uncertain. Although it will preserve this fighting spirit and will not lack creativity for a better future.
