The “Elle International Bridal Awards” will be held on 27 April, as part of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW), at the Paraninfo Hall of the University of Barcelona’s Historical Building. The ceremony, which will bring together the sector’s professionals and business entrepreneurs, will be hosted by Spanish actress Rossy de Palma.
There will be 10 different award categories: best wedding dress; best bridal collection; best groom collection; best jewellery collection; best fashion show; best honeymoon resort; best wedding planner; best promotional campaign; best new talent; and lastly, the award to the best professional career. 105 international bridal fashion brands participated in the first edition of these awards. Nicole Spose, Carlo Pignatelli, Viktor & Rolf Marriage, Tiffany & Co., Monique Lhuillier, Josep Font for Delpozo and Pronovias were among the winners in the different categories.
The jury that will choose the finalists of the 2018 edition will be comprised of 12 of Elle’s journalists, while the jury that will designate the winners will be made up of the directors of 12 international editions of Elle, as well as BBFW representatives. The Elle editions directly involved in the Awards, who will publish the results of the contest are Elle Australia, Canada, China, South Korea, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Spain, South Africa and Sweden.
According to Estermaria Laruccia, director of BBFW, “we are very satisfied to welcome and collaborate with the Elle International Bridal Awards, as acknowledging professional excellence and creative talent on a global scale is one of the keystones of our strategy, alongside promoting the internationalization of the bridal fashion industry. Moreover, Elle is a partner with whom we share key values such as a great deal of praise for talent, passion for fashion, a love for quality and respect towards the industry”.
