BBFW & SAVE THE CHILDREN
The BBFW launches an unprecedented partnership in the fashion industry together with Save the Children to empower girls worldwide through education and reduce drastically the number of girls that are forced to marry before they turn 18.
Raise your voice with us to build a better future for girls all around the world.
Take action: together we can stop child marriage
Globally, around 21% of young women get married before their 18th birthday. Every 7 seconds, a girl under the age of 15 enters into a forced marriage. This situation affects more than 12 million girls every year, who are exposed to the risk of losing their fundamental rights.
The COVID-19 pandemic is leading to more people ending up in poverty in many countries, forcing millions of girls to work to support their families and causing them to run out of food, become the main caregivers of sick relatives, drop out of school and be victims of forced marriage.
With the Stop Child Marriage project, BBFW aims to be the platform from which Save the Children and the bridal industry take action to fight child marriage. With your help, we can create a better world: every participant will be able to contribute to this global movement to transform the lives of more than 1,000 girls and adolescents in Sierra Leone.
By joining all our efforts, we can help guarantee that girls receive the support they urgently need, and stay in school.
