Take action: together we can stop child marriage

Every seven seconds, a girl under the age of fifteen is forced to marry. This situation affects more than 12 million girls a year, who are exposed to losing their fundamental rights.

With the project The Right to Be a Girl, VBBFW is launching a partnership with Save the Children to mobilize professionals of the bridal industry to end forced child marriage. Our challenge consists of raising 50,000 euros to transform the reality of more than 1,000 girls and teenagers in Sierra Leone. Together we can achieve it. Join the dream.

That’s why Save the Children has participated in the VBBFW Digital Experience with an event about the living conditions of these girls and the importance of defending their rights. We encourage you to watch the video and support the campaign.

HELP US TO DEFEND GIRLS’ RIGHTS

Celebrities from home and abroad have taken part in this initiative. You're still in time join them.

Designers, models, actors and media professionals have pledged their support to The Right to Be a Girl in this year’s VBBFW Digital Experience. Listen to their message and join a cause that should concern us all.

“Child marriage sets in motion a cycle of marginalization that denies girls their most basic rights, such as education and freedom itself”.
Andrés Conde
director of Save the Children spain
“It’s a unique form of partnership that’s fully aligned with our brand values, linking them to a cause that involves us directly”.
Estermaria Laruccia
Director of VBBFW
